梅尔辛，又称“伊切尔”。土耳其南部最大港口，伊切尔省省会，与泉州市是友好城市。人口21.6万（1980）。位于阿达纳平原最西端，港口优良。城市名称来源于一种当地产的芳香植物。

梅尔辛为阿达纳平原农产品（谷物、豆类、柑橘等）与土耳其东南部矿产品（铬、铜）的出口港。有纺织、食品、磷肥、玻璃等工厂，以及年炼油能力为450万吨的炼油厂。原油来自巴特曼油田与中东其他国家。
【区位】地处土耳其南部、地中海沿岸，与塞浦路斯及中东叙利亚、黎巴嫩等国隔海相望。是大梅尔辛市所属的三个城市中区域最广、经济、文化最活跃的一个。
